| The basic module of the power supply system proposed by CAEN consists of one Mod. A876 master board (to be housed in the SY1527 mainframe) which controls up to four Mod. A877 remote boards for on-detector installation. Each A877 board provides 12 groups of floating HV outputs each supplying two anodes (+4 kV), one strip (+2 kV) and one cathode (–2 kV) of the CMS muon chambers. Thanks to the use of innovative technical solutions, the remote boards are magnetic field and radiation tolerant. |
