| CAEN in Partnership with EURITRACK - Winner of French Trophy of Civil Defense 2007 |

 CAEN is proud to announce that the program EURITRACK - EURopean Illicit TRAfficking Countermeasures Kit, received the 1st prize of the French Trophy of Civil Defense 2007. The French Trophy of Civil Defense 2007, presented by the High French Committee for the Civil Defense to CEA (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique- French Atomic Energy Commission) and its partners, acknowledges the extraordinary achievement of technological innovation in the field of defense and security.
 EURITRACK is a project conceived to strengthen the European Collaboration in crisis management by providing Governments with technical tools in their fight against illicit trafficking, primarily focussed in providing national authorities with a reliable solution to increase the security of seaports. CAEN, in partnership, provided all electronics such as Front End and Power Supply Instrumentation responsible for the successful development of the automated scanners. The system non-invasively accesses and secures the integrity and safety of shipping containers by detecting possible material that may be harmful and threatening.
It is an exciting time when revolutionary ideas come into fruition and connects a set of pioneers in an emerging field of progress. Today, radiation detection applications are becoming strategic for the Homeland Security business. New systems and applications for electronics are exponentially increasing in demand and the necessity of custom solutions makes CAEN a highly preferred partner. Due to the nature of Homeland Security application in the past years, the particle identification process has become a fundamental part of a HS apparatus/solution. We are an enterprise determined in understanding and enhancing Homeland Security s full potential, furthermore, propelled to unharness the progression of its success and aid in achieving its long-term vision.
About Euritrack Consortium
Euritrack Consortium is composed of 6 Research Institutes (CEA-France, INFN-Italy, Ruder Boskovic Institute-Croatia, Joint Research Centre-Italy, Andrzej Soltan Institute For Nuclear Studies-Poland, Kunglia Tekniska Hoegskolan-Sweden), 3 private companies (CAEN-Italy, EADS SODERN-France, SAPHYMO-France) and the French "Direction Générale des Douanes et Droits Indirects" as final end-user. The three years project, coordinated by CEA, started in October 2004, funded by the 6th European Framework Programme.

We are updating our Web site introducing new services:
- "Ask a CAEN expert": it will be possible to ask for information on a single product, a family or even ask for advice on experiments equipment etc. The form will be available in the "products" section, with the exclusion of the product Web page.
- "Evaluation of contents": user evaluation on the product Web page content.
- "Send this page": active only on the product Web page, this form allows to signal the product to other people sending automatically an e-mail with the appropriate link.
- "Request a quote": present on all products Web pages. It activates the compilation of a set-out form. The data inserted by the applicant will be easily recordable.
- "Compare": in all the products Web pages there is now the possibility to compare modules having the same functions, even if belonging to different families. This new feature allows to compare highlights and data of the Cross Reference Table of different products at a glance.
- "Printable data-sheet": the renewed version now contains much more information than ever before.
