Aurelia is Contractor in Lifebelt "An intelligent wearable device for health monitoring during pregnancy", Fifth Framework Program of the European Commission - Information Society Technologies (Contract no.: IST-2001-38165). The key objective of Lifebelt is the research, development and validation of a wearable device for the monitoring of foetal and maternal health during pregnancy. The system is designed to monitor and to evaluate human vital signs such as foetal and maternal heart rate, blood pressure, Blood Oxygen sat. and temperature. The wearable device sends the collected vital signs to a centralised hospital system for monitoring. The other Lifebelt partners are Strand Technologies (Gb), Greater Derby Hospital (Gb),Aristotle University Of Thessaloniki (Gr), Interset (Gr) And Precision (B).
Aurelia has been involved in the project to develop the dedicated ASIC named CHEOPE and the Lifebelt Sensing Module to monitor and to evaluate human vital signs such as foetal and maternal heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation and temperature.
